Jason Schultz - Owner/Guide
Jason and Heather Schultz have owned and operated Hells Canyon Sport Fishing since 1996. Their love of Hells Canyon and the Snake River that flows through it runs deep. Jason is a seasoned pro and with over 30 years experience knows this river and the Sturgeon that live there intimately. Jason operates his 34’ twin engine jet boat for most of his sturgeon trips. Jason guides groups of 4-6 fishermen year round.
Brayden Schultz - Guide
Brayden is our youngest guide at only 21 years old. Brayden is a full-time student at WSU and guides sturgeon trips during the summer months. Brayden absolutely loves Sturgeon fishing has been working with his father as first mate and deckhand ever since he was a young boy. We are willing to bet that in the last couple years this young man has put his hands on more XXL Sturgeon in Hells Canyon than anyone. This kid has certainly proven himself with his hard work and dedication. Brayden is available to guide groups of 2-6 fishermen May, June and July.
Chad Patchen - Guide
Chad is one of our hardest working guides and has been with the Hells Canyon Sport Fishing Crew for 10 years. Chad is a die hard sturgeon fisherman and eats, sleeps and breathes fishing. Chad always receives some of the greatest reviews from his Sturgeon clients. He knows how to provide a fantastic trip and make the day fun! Chad is a fishy guy you might say, and his success rate on catching giant Sturgeon speaks for itself! Chad operates his 23’ Alumaweld guide boat and guides groups of 2-4 fishermen.
Doug Richert (Captain “Big-D”) - Guide
Doug joined Hells Canyon Sport Fishing over 20 years ago and guides sturgeon fishermen year round. Doug is definitely one of the most seasoned sturgeon guides in all of Hells Canyon. Doug has spent hundreds of days on the river which has lead to his amazing talent for finding XXL Sturgeon even in the toughest conditions. Doug operates his 26’ Custom Bloodsworth Jet Boat and takes groups of 4-6 fishermen.
